Expanding and Modernising Security Check Points

The Terminal 1 redesign at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol addressed the need for increased security capacity due to rising passenger numbers. The project involved the removal of existing security infrastructure and the construction of a new mezzanine above the check-in counters, with 21 security lanes. This redesign impacted multiple terminal functions including staff facilities, lounges and technical spaces, all executed while maintaining uninterrupted airport operations. Divided into seven work packages, the project spanned several floors, integrating temporary and permanent solutions to ensure functionality during construction.
