
São Paulo, 7 April, 2025. International engineering consultancy Deerns, has appointed Anderson Assunção as Country Director for Brazil as the company builds on excellent growth in the country.
Joining Deerns as Country Director and Unit Director for Data Centres, Brazil, Anderson Assunção will leverage both his engineering expertise and his extensive commercial experience. Anderson was previously Head of Operations for the US-based ICM, responsible for driving the development of their Brazilian operations. He gained his commercial experience through project delivery for major global players innatural resources and infrastructure. Anderson also has extensive experience working outside Brazil making him ideally placed to help shape Deerns’ strategic direction and deliver tailored and effective support to the company’s clients. making him ideally placed to help shape Deerns’ strategic direction and deliver tailored and effective support to the company’s clients.

Ricardo Fornari who has successfully led the growth of Deerns in Brazil as Country Director was appointed as the Division Director Data Centres effective as of January 2025. His knowledge of the local market and successful delivery of major projects makes him well-placed to oversee the continued growth of our data centre business in Brazil. Deerns was recently named 13th of the top International Design Firms for Data Centres in the annual Engineering News Record (ENR) 2024 Global Design Review.

Most recently Anderson has overseen the green field implementation of large-scale international projects for Hatch, Fluor and ICM.

Anderson took on the role as of April 2025. He will be based in in Sao Paulo focusing on the growth of the local business and will also support Deerns’ global data centre business as Unit Director Data Centres in Brazil.
